Kingman Yacht Center will begin hauling boats at first light Thursday morning, beginning with the front docks. All boats will be evacuated from the front dock system as quickly as possible so that we can detach the docks and prepare them for the storm.
All Kingman Boaters should refer to the Kingman Yacht Center Hurricane Plan for information about how this mobilization will affect your boat.
Please be aware that, while KYC will do everything we can to safeguard your property, ultimate responsibility for your boat and any damage to it or other property is yours.
We should start feeling the effects of Earl on Friday afternoon. Between now and then:
We will continue to haul boats as long as the weather permits according to the schedule posted in the Hurricane Plan. Because of the short amount of time available, it is unlikely that we will accomplish full evacuation of the Back Basin. Therefore your assistance with the above is especially important if your boat is in the Back Basin.
The marina front desk will be manned as of 8:00AM Thursday morning to answer your questions in person, or by phone at (508) 563-7136 X100.
Additional updates will be posted on this site as needed.
