Kingman Yacht Center is watching Earl closely and will keep you posted of forecast developments and recommendations in the days to come.
As of now, it appears likely that our area will be brushed closely by Hurricane Earl during the daylight hours on Friday, producing heavy rain and Easterly winds of 30-60 MPH. Wind speeds will be higher if the storm's track shifts to the west as a result of the storm speeding up and arriving earlier.
Minimal storm surge is expected as a result of our being on the West side of the storm.
An excellent summary of storm info can be found at Crown Weather Services.
