From Boston (approximately 67 miles):
Take Route 93 South (Southeast Expressway). At Exit 7, bear left
and proceed on Route 3 South to the Sagamore Bridge. Cross over
the bridge and take the first exit right. Turn left at the traffic
light. Follow Sandwich Road along the Cape Cod Canal to the end
at the Bourne Bridge Rotary. From the rotary, exit at Route 28 South
to Falmouth. Proceed 3.3 miles, then exit right at Pocasset/Wings
Neck. Follow Barlows Landing Road 1.7 miles to Pocasset Center.
At the stop sign, turn left and proceed on Shore Road 1.0 mile.
Turn right at the Marine Center entrance. The main office building
will be the first building
you see.

By Sea:
Use NOAA charts 13236 (1:20,000), 13229SC (1:40,000) and 13230 (1:40,000).
Use tide tables for Newport. High tide is approximately 24 minutes
later. Low tide is 18 minutes later. Multiply by 1.1 for height
at high or low water. Mean tidal range is 4'.
From the North via the Hog Island Channel and the Cape Cod Canal.
Give Wings Neck at least 500 yards of clearance as you round it.
You may want to clear Q G G "1" at the southeastern end of Hog Island
Channel before heading southeast into the harbor.
From the South and West. Straightforward approach except for Southwest
Ledge and Seal Rocks which extend to R N "10," about 0.9 nm west
of Scraggy Neck. To clear these rocks, continue northeast in the
Cleveland Ledge Channel until you are more than 1.0 nm north of
Fl R 4s R "4". This gives you clearance of Southwest Ledge as you
turn east into the harbor.
Entering the outer harbor heading towards Bassetts Island, give
RG N "ER" plenty of room. This junction buoy identifies Eustis Rock,
with a 5-foot spot just east of the marker.
At R G N "ER" you have a choice of two entrance channels, north
and south of Bassetts Island. The north channel has an 8-ft (mlw)
controlling depth and winds its way through Pocasset Harbor. Stay
close to all the buoys and don't cut corners. The south channel
(controlling depth: 6-ft mlw) leads directly into Red Brook Harbor,
and while it is a bit more shallow, it is also less convoluted and
confusing.
Kingman Yacht Center sits inside (east) of Bassetts Island, with
its mooring field to port (north) of the channel running into the
harbor. The marina monitors VHF channel 71.
